Dancing by Tyler C

When someone died or it was a big day for the Mi'kmaq they would light a huge fire. They would dance around it and play drums. When they had a big celebration and a feast they would dance around the fire.

Singing and dancing was important back then with the natives. They would act out mimes and wore animal hides to resemble an animal. They would dance and move just like the animal. Plus they would do a snake dance. They would all get in a line and move and twist like a snake. The Mi'kmaq told stories through their dance.
