Going Fishing by Ashton

It will soon be winter . The sun is still bright though. The Mi'kmaq need more food. The hunter waits anxiously until sunset, when the fish are calm. His wife is making jewellry and decorations. She uses pieces of bone for beads.

The children are gone looking for eggs. Sunset finally comes and the hunter gets his fishing gear together to go to the river to catch fish. He uses his leister to spear the fish. He catches quite a few, then heads back to camp where his wife is waiting to clean and smoke the fish.
