For wars and raiding parties the Micmacs armed themselves. In wars they had bows and loads of arrows and stone axes. Also clubs with spiky spruce taproot club heads. An arrow had eagle feathers glued on by resin glue. The eagle feathers made the arrows fly straight.

The Micmacs had shields. They were very long and rectangular and had a rounded top. The shields that the Micmac used for protecting warriors from enemy arrows.
