Now the really different part is coming up. OK. During their feasts the father of the bride makes his speeches and blesses them. Then the groom dances. After that he takes out his stone knife and cuts off some of his hair and gives it to the family. Then the mother of the bride cuts of her daughter's hair and gives the family her hair. Next, the mother sits her daughter down by her new husband and they are considered wed. Then the whole family dances. The children don't exactly go to the wedding in the wigwam; they stay outside the wigwam and play Waltes and eat their feasts out there. When the dancing time comes they dance together too. Well Almost. They dance outside by themselves. BACK TO START PAGE |
